Randal (Randy) Allen formed MIDCON in 1991 and, since then, has been actively involved in civic and nonprofit endeavors. He is past chairman of the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce, which received reaccreditation through the U.S. Chamber of Commerce during his tenure. He currently serves in multiple capacities throughout different organizations, such as:
- Chairman of Community Council for OU Medical Center Edmond
- Board member for OU Medical Center
- Advisory Board Member for FC Energy
- Board member of CompSource OK
- Member of the Oklahoma Memorial board
- Serves on the Advisory Board for UCO
Randy is a past recipient of the Edmond Citizen of the Year award, the Edmond Economic Development Partner’s award, a graduate of Tinker Air Force Base’s COMSTAR program, has served on the advisory board of A Chance to Change and as director of the Petroleum Club. Randy is a former board member of mVault LLC of Edmond, Okla., Living Naturally LLC of Sarasota, Fla., and Kirkpatrick Bank.
He grew up in Poplar Bluff, Mo., and earned a business degree from Missouri State University. Randy came to Oklahoma City in 1984 to work as a seismic data broker for international data-management company Grant Norpac.
He formed MIDCON Data Services Inc. in 1991 after resigning from Grant Norpac and purchasing all of its assets.
Randy met his wife, Janet, in the seventh grade; they continued their relationship through college and married. The couple has lived in Edmond since 1985 and has three children: Heather, Mikki and Matthew. They are members of the Memorial Road Church of Christ in Edmond.
